Product Description

Dihydroxypropyl)-5-[(hydroxyl acetyl)(2-hydroxyethyl) amino]-2, 4, 6-triiodo-1, 3-phthalamide. Molecular formula :C18H24I3N3O9. Molecular weight :807.116. Properties: Ioferol is odorless, fine white amorphous powder, its aqueous solution is transparent, colorless or light yellow, does not crystallized at room temperature, pH is 6.0-7.4.

Application: 

This product is mainly used for angiography, including: cerebrovascular angiography, peripheral arteriography, visceral artery, renal artery and aorta angiography, cardiovascular angiography including coronary artery angiography, arterial and venous digital subtraction angiography. Venous urography and enhanced CT (including head and body CT).

Notes:

When the patient has a history of iodine allergy, although not contraindicated, but the injection of this product should be cautious. The elderly or young children with high risk factors, bronchial asthma, heart or liver or kidney insufficiency, hyperthyroidism, etc., or patients with serum creatinine exceeding 3mg/dL should be used with caution.

 

Patients should be observed for 1 hour after angiography because of occasional delayed response. Peripheral arteriography injection must have pulsation in the artery, and angiography should be performed with extreme caution in cases of obliterating thromboangiitis or severe ischemic disease with upward spreading infection. Aortic angiography may cause damage to adjacent organs, punctured pleura, and kidney injury. The use of lumbar techniques may result in retroperitoneal bleeding, spinal cord injury, and symptoms of transverse myelitis. Coronary angiography should monitor ECG and vital signs. When patients have thrombosis, phlebitis, severe ischemia, local infection, or complete blockage of the venous system, fluoroscopy is recommended to prevent the contrast agent from spilling out of the blood vessels during injection.
