Features

15-5PH is martensitic, precipitation-hardened, chromium-nickel copper stainless steel with good surface smoothness and dimensional stability. Good processing technology, excellent mechanical properties, resistance to general corrosion environment. As early as the mid-1990s began to promote the steel bell.

The steel has good strength, toughness and ductility, transverse, hardness and corrosion resistance comparable to 304 stainless steel.

15-5pH can obtain various properties under heat treatment conditions.

Laser cladding refers to the process method of placing the selected coating material on the surface of the coated substrate in different feeding methods to melt a thin layer on the surface of the substrate at the same time, and forming a surface coating with very low dilution after rapid solidification, and forming a metallurgical combination with the substrate to significantly improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, oxidation resistance and electrical characteristics of the base surface. Thus, the purpose of surface modification or repair is achieved, which not only meets the requirements of specific properties of the material surface, but also saves a lot of valuable elements.
 
Compared with surfacing welding, spraying, electroplating and gas deposition, laser cladding has the characteristics of small dilution, dense structure, good combination of coating and matrix, many suitable cladding materials, and large changes in particle size and content, so the application prospect of laser cladding technology is very broad.
