The aluminum produced by thermit method is called zirconium aluminum iron because it contains aluminum, containing Zr>15%.

Functions and Applications
 
1. As a inoculant, the main function of ferrozirconium silicon is to increase the density, reduce the melting point, strengthen the absorption, etc., among which the zirconium element in ferrozirconium silicon has a strong deoxidation effect, so zirconium also has deoxidation, desulfurization, nitrogen fixation, improve the fluidity of liquid iron, and reduce the formation ability of pores.
 
2. Ferro zirconium silicon inoculant has strong anti-decay ability and promotes the formation of A-type graphite. If combined with A certain amount of Ba and Ti elements, the inoculation effect of ferrozirconium silicon inoculant is very good, which can not only promote A-type graphite, increase nucleation capacity, increase the number of eutectic aggregates, reduce segregation, but also improve the uniformity of organization.
