Product Description

15-53μ M Powder Cobalt-Based Alloy Cocrw for 3D Printing

Product Description

Features

Unlike other superalloys, cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy is not strengthened by an orderly precipitated phase firmly bound to the matrix, but by the austenitic fcc matrix and a small number of carbides distributed in the matrix that have been strengthened by solid solution. At high temperature, the strength of the alloy is high, the carbide is strengthened, the strength of the alloy decreases slowly, and the thermal corrosion resistance is better.

Application

Cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy is cobalt as the main component, containing a considerable amount of chromium, tungsten and a small amount of nickel, molybdenum, silicon, carbon, niobium, tantalum and other alloying elements, and occasionally also contains a class of iron alloys. Depending on the composition of the alloy, they can be made into welding wire, powder for hard surface surfacing, thermal spraying, spray welding and other processes, can also be made into casting and forging parts and powder metallurgy parts.
Notice
Cobalt-chrome-tungsten surfacing alloy Cobalt chrome-tungsten surfacing alloy contains 25-33% chromium, 3-21% tungsten, 0.7-3.0% carbon. With the increase of carbon content, the microstructure changes from hypoeutectic austenite +M7C3 type eutectic to hypereutectic M7C3 type primary carbide +M7C3 type eutectic. The more carbon contained, the more primary M7C3, the higher the macro hardness, the better the wear resistance of the wear resistance, but the impact resistance, weldability, machining performance will decline. Cobalt chromium-tungsten alloy alloyed by chromium and tungsten has good oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and heat resistance. At 650ºC, it can still maintain a high hardness and strength, which is an important feature of this kind of alloy different from nickel and iron based alloys. Cocr-w alloy has low machined surface roughness, high abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction, and is also suitable for adhesive wear, especially on sliding and contact valve sealing surfaces. However, in the high stress abrasive wear, the wear resistance of low carbon cobalt chromium tungsten alloy is not as good as low carbon steel, therefore, the selection of expensive cobalt chromium tungsten alloy must have the guidance of professionals in order to play the maximum potential of the material.
