IN738LC(K438) is a nickel-based precipitity-hardened isaxed crystal cast superalloy, which is one of the best alloys with thermal corrosion resistance. The temperature is less than 900°C, and the alloy is strengthened by adding drill, chromium and elements for solid solution, adding aluminum and elements to form V phase, adding boron and elements to clean and strengthen the grain boundaries. The alloy has excellent thermal corrosion resistance, moderate high temperature strength and good microstructure stability. The alloy is used in long-life turbine working blades and guide blades for Marine and surface industrial gas turbines, as well as turbine parts and corrosion resistant components for aircraft engines.

Application

This kind of steel is mainly used in precision forging dies and plastic molds.
