Applications

Zirconia fiber is a polycrystalline refractory fiber material. Due to the high melting point, non oxidation, and other excellent high-temperature properties of ZrO2 material, ZrO2 fibers have a higher operating temperature than other refractory fiber varieties such as alumina fibers, mullite fibers, and aluminum silicate fibers. Zirconia fiber can be used for a long time in an ultra-high temperature oxidation atmosphere above 1500 ºC, with a maximum operating temperature of 2200 ºC, and even up to 2500 ºC, it can maintain its complete fiber shape. Moreover, it has stable high-temperature chemical properties, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, thermal shock resistance, non-volatile, and pollution-free, making it the most advanced refractory fiber material internationally. The acid and alkali corrosion resistance of ZrO2 is significantly stronger than that of SiO2 and Al2O3. Insoluble in water, soluble in sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid; Slightly soluble in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. Can melt with alkali to form zirconates.
